[safety image]
“
Hey, has anyone seen Tom? We were just hangin’ looking for a snack by the Cars & Coffee
..”
Delivered from the factory, the Mustang has no taste for blood. But that changes once out in the wild..

Oh deer.
That can’t be good.

As someone who has hit a deer and has seen older cars destroyed by deer, I’m impressed by how well the mustang held up.

How about a lead-in safety image?

In a previous place of employment, there was a truck in the parking lot that had a duck’s head stuck in the grill with the neck and body just hanging out the front (dead, of course). I’m not sure he knew it was there.

I thought the expression was “deer in the headlights?”

Not a very polite eater. BMW’s always chew with their mouth closed:

As someone who’s hit deer with older cars and only needed to replace a grille and headlight at most, I say that Mustang is destroyed.

How does that even happen?

Is the deer OK?

We’re going back to teaching monkeys to work on cars. The deers can’t even open the hood.

I’m glad I don’t have to fix that. Ugh

Mostly speed.
The driver was apparently doing 140mph on the Autobahn when, presto, magic disappearing deer!

Now it makes more sense. Still crazy it just stuffed through that grille and balled up in the engine bay!

“...I woke up with one kidney and a deer on my head!”

If memory serves, the original story says the owner hit the deer, wondered where it went, pulled over and saw only minimal damage...until he looked closer and found the deer!

I was literally about to say this.

Once it makes its first kill, there’s no going back.

Yeah, seriously.

Deer will mess up a car... The only one I ever hit was a baby with a BOF Econoline van. It required a new grille, fender, and partial bumper cover (the bumper was fixed by the shop). Only cost $800 to fix it all back to the original condition.
This Mustang looks to need at least $5k in repairs and/or is totaled. Then again, it looks like it also backed into this spot, so maybe it’s not as destroyed as it looks.

So Mustangs are now wild & exotic animal hunters, huh!? That’s just great.

Apologies for the breach in interwebs protocol.
How would I do this after the time to edit is up?

I’ve hit 3.
1: 1965 Chevy C10 at roughly 75mph. Dent in the bumper, broken headlight.
2. 2006 Dodge Stratus Sedan at 40mph. Destroyed both headlights, bumper cover, bumper, exploded battery, crushed hood, cracked valve cover and intake manifold from crushed hood, and some other random things I can’t recall. Had to be towed obviously.
3. 1995 Voyager 55mph. Had to replace headlight, straighten fender/hood, and replace grille.
I’m guessing the Mustang is totaled from that damage, it’s likely backed into the spot from unloading it off the flatbed.

The safety image only works as a safety image if you give a heads up that something else is coming after the jump. ;)

ouch, that sucks!
